Grace Kanzenbach (she/they)

Owner of Opal Waters Psychotherapy®

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

I am committed to antiracist, anti-oppressive, liberating, and decolonizing therapy practices. I specialize in treating plural, queer, trans, and neurodivergent folks with affirming care.

About Me

This about me reviews identities and communities I belong to, my personal therapy practices, and how I hold my virtual therapy space.

I have several identities and communities that I belong to that are a part of who I am as a person and as a therapist. These identities help explain how my brain works, my internal/external experience, and my overall lived experience. I include this information as it can be beneficial for folks to receive treatment from therapists within the communities they belong to.

Identities and Communities I connect with:

  • Plurality/Multiplicity

  • Dog mom

  • Queer cisgender woman

  • Neurodivergent (AuDHD, PDA, Dyslexia)

  • Disabled

  • Partner

  • Activist

  • White (Irish ancestry)

Therapy Practices:

  • Client-centered approaches

  • Decolonization and liberation centered

  • Culturally Responsive Care

  • Advocate for disability rights, fat liberation, and overall, human rights

Virtual Therapy Space

  • I honor all the You’s (or not You’s) there may be internally present during therapy

  • I fully support and encourage unmasking, humor, non-language, vibrant or multiple languages, info dumping/special interest rants, stimming, and so so much more!

  • Getting into your body and moving as slow or fast your system needs to ensure safety is my top priority as your therapist

I invite you to reach out to me for a free 15 minute phone consultation for therapy services if you feel we may be aligned whether in community, identity, or per my therapy practices!
