EMDR INTENSIVES

EMDR INTENSIVES

Perhaps you’ve intended to get into weekly therapy, but can’t seem to find the time. Or maybe you need extended help over a short period of time and would like to resolve internal conflicts more efficiently. Intensives consist of engaging in EMDR over the course of 2-6 hours and/or 1-5 days.

An EMDR Intensive might be a good fit for you if:

  • You have a busy schedule or travel often and weekly appointments are not a good fit for your schedule

  • You’ve experienced one big traumatic event such as a car accident or assault and can’t seem to get your life back on track

  • You’ve experience chronic trauma, even as a child, and are mostly successful now aside from a few triggers or conflicts here and there

  • You have ability to feel your feelings and know how to navigate them most of the time

  • You are a mental health therapist yourself and just want help moving past your blocks

FAQs

  • If you truly cannot feel your feelings, struggle with addiction, or struggle with mental health concerns not related to PTSD, you may not benefit from an EMDR intensive.

  • This depends on the length of your intensive. Typically, folks are billed an hourly rate for single-day intensives (2-6 hours), while others are given a weekly rate (3-5 days for 6 hours per day). A non-refundable deposit is required at scheduling for intensives over 2 hours.

  • An intensive allows you to move through traumatic events and stressors more smoothly. With less interruptions to processing like in weekly therapy, your brain and body are allowed to clear unwanted emotions/memories and increase connection to positive beliefs in a shorter amount of time!

  • I provide most intensives virtually. However, there is space available for in-home and travel-to-you intensive packages. Please inquire for availability HERE.
